My Watch List for 2017


Year 2016 had been a great and spectacular year for film industry. Now i was looking forward for these movies in 2k17.

This list consists of comic based movies, Thrillers and Musical.

Let us have a look on this list.



1. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST (Musical Fantasy) :

Beauty and the Beast is an upcoming American romantic dark fantasy musical film directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos.

A Walt Disney Pictures production, this film is a live-action remake of Disney's 1991 animated film starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.

RELEASE DATE - 17th MARCH






2. DUNKIRK (Historical War Drama) :

Dunkirk is an upcoming Epic war film directed and written by Christopher Nolan. Set in time the Second World War, it showcases the Dunkirk evacuation.

The star cast includes Aneurin Barnard, Kenneth Branagh, James D'Arcy, Tom Glynn-Carney, Tom Hardy. Music of the film is done by Hans Zimmer.
RELEASE DATE - 21st July








3. LOGAN (Action/Comic) :

Logan is an upcoming superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Wolverine, produced by Marvel Entertainment, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. A 10th film of X men series as well as a 3rd in Wolverine film series it is final film for Hugh Jackman as marvel comic character Logan.

Inspired from "Old Man Logan" by Mark Millar and Steve McNiven, this movie follows a past-his-prime Logan undergoes for a final epic adventure in the post-apocalyptic future.

4. SPIDER-MAN :HOMECOMING (Reboot/Comic) :

Spider-Man: Homecoming is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Spider-Man, produced by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Studios, and distributed by Sony Pictures. It is the second reboot of the Spider-Man film franchise and sixteenth film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

Directed by Jon Watts the star cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, and Robert Downey Jr.  In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter Parker tries to balance being the hero Spider-Man with his high school life under the guidance his mentor Tony Stark .

RELEASE DATE - 7th July







5. KONG: SKULL ISLAND (Monster) :

Kong: Skull Island is American monster film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and written by Dan Gilroy and Max Borenstein. This film is a reboot of the King Kong franchise and will be the second film in Legendary's Godzilla–Kong film series.

It stars an ensemble cast consisting of Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson, John Goodman, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Toby Kebbell, John Ortiz, Corey Hawkins. A team of explorers and soldiers are brought to venture into deep uncharted island in the Pacific Ocean. This movie showcases 70s-set trip into the Kong mythos.

6. The Fate of the Furious (Sequel/Action) :

The Fate of the Furious or “Fast and Furious 8”  is 8th film of blockbuster Franchise The Fast and the Furious. The film will star Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Kurt Russell, Scott Eastwood, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren. It is the 2nd film after Tokyo Drift which doesn’t have Paul walker who died during the filming of Furious 7.

Directed by F. Gary Gray the writing of the Film is done by  Chris Morgan.

RELEASE DATE - 14th April

JUSTICE LEAGUE TRAILER REVIEW

Justice League Official Poster Flash: 'So, what is your superpower again?' Batman: I'm RICH After listening to this dialogue in Justice League Trailer I can finally say that DCEU is changing. The trailer is the perfect collaboration of DC Comics and Warner Bros where it brings out certain raw and dark aura. While there's no glimpse or appearance from the Man of Steel at all. Every one is good in their characters. Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra miller perfectly fit for their.  Jason Momoa is hottest Aquaman  i've ever seen The soundtrack by the White Stripes' "The Hardest Button to Button" and a hard-rock rendition of the Beatles' "Come Together." perfectly In-Sync with the Cut. I am dying to watch it in 3D Check Out the Trailer below , P.S: I would like to ask the VFX team kindly to re-check the design of Cyborg as it literally reduced my interest by 50%.

PASSENGERS REVIEW

PASSENGERS REVIEW BOTTOM LINE : Visually attractive film over run by cliché script Passengers a space drama directed by Morten Tyldum and written by Jon Spaihts. Star cast includes Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence Fishburne and Andy García. The story is all about a spaceship called Avalon which is on it’s course of journey towards Homestead 2 and two passengers who woke up 90 years earlier. When it comes to performances Chris pratt nails his character with perfection but it is Jennifer Lawrence who steals the thunder with her expressions and beauty. Michael sheen has displayed impeccable timing as Android bartender. The 3d Effects are good for that provided budget but it is the direction that spoils the game as I disconnected with the film during last 15 mins.
