PASSENGERS REVIEW
BOTTOM LINE : Visually attractive film over run
by cliché script
Passengers a space
drama directed by Morten Tyldum and written by Jon Spaihts. Star cast
includes Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Pratt, Michael Sheen, Laurence
Fishburne and Andy García.
The story is all about a spaceship called Avalon which is on
it’s course of journey towards Homestead 2 and two passengers who woke up 90
years earlier.
When it comes to performances Chris pratt nails his character
with perfection but it is Jennifer Lawrence who steals the thunder with her
expressions and beauty. Michael sheen has displayed impeccable timing as
Android bartender.
The 3d Effects are good for that provided budget but it is
the direction that spoils the game as I disconnected with the film during last
15 mins.
| Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt in Passengers Film |
THUMBS UP :
- Chris Pratt
- Jennifer Lawrence
- Cool 3d Effects
- Cinematography
THUMBS DOWN
:
- Pretty similar to all other space films
- Cliché sequences
- Below par Direction
NOTE : One of the major plot twist causes huge uproar in
social media about Cyber stalking, Stalking but I am okay with that sequence
because it sets the course of journey for the both characters.
